Nice to meet you!
I am a Portrait Photographer based in Portland, Maine. My work centers around capturing artful portraits, often in nature, exploring the way people fit within their surrounding landscape. I enjoy the process and challenge of capturing photographs that are both visually beautiful and artistically compelling. I adore photography of all kinds, but have a special affinity for portraits and film photography. My favorite camera is my Mamiya 6: a vintage japanese rangefinder that shoots medium format film. It creates stunning images in a square format- a ratio you will see frequently in my work!
I grew up in the Seacoast of New Hampshire, where creativity played a large role in my life from an early age. I spent much of my childhood shooting photos, making short films, writing poetry, and exploring the woods. I studied Photography and Filmmaking at Emerson College in Boston and have spent time working in production on both the East and West Coast.
In the last few years I have honed in on my passion for portraiture. I adore working with people, learning about them, and capturing images that show them in their best light … figuratively and literally ;) Whether you’re looking for basic portraits or have a creative concept in mind, I can’t wait to help create the perfect visuals for you.
When not behind the camera I can be found: thrifting my latest (and 100th) vintage jacket, brewing a strooong cup of coffee, catching the latest movie, planning my next camping trip out West with my boyfriend, Ian, biking around back cove, sitting around a table laughing with friends and family, throwing themed soirées, seeking out the best hair products for curly hair, or googling new cake recipes to try out.
